Presbyterian Hospitality House, Fairbanks' leading adolescent residential treatment program wants additional treatment team members. We are seeking emotionally healthy individuals with common sense, humor, and the ability to counsel youth, teach social skills, and help them improve academically. A full-time member will implement treatment plans and provide family-style teaching for five teens.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelorís Degree in the Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences or Education or a minimum of two (2) years experience in human services to include a) individual, group and family counseling, b) case management, c) adolescent treatment. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the dynamics of dysfunctional families and the developmental stages of growth. Must demonstrate an understanding of learning theory and be aware of crosscultural issues. Additional education, professional or culturally relevant experience may be considered. U. S. citizen or valid work permits. A valid Alaskan driver's license is necessary. Preference given to individuals with previous Teaching Family training and experience. In addition, prior to hire, all State of Alaska, Licensing requirements must be met.
Clean driving record and an Alaskan Drivers License required.
