Driver Rehabilitation Services, North Carolina’s leader in comprehensive driver evaluation and training, is interviewing for an Occupational Therapist to work part-time (20+ hours a week) to full-time, as a Driving Evaluator. Services provided at the client’s residence throughout Central and Eastern North Carolina. Work day starts and ends at therapist’s home and occasionally requires overnight travel at the company’s expense. A company vehicle and all equipment are provided for service delivery.
Job Description: • Clinical assessment of a person’s visual, perceptual, cognitive and physical abilities • Wheelchair and/or seating and positioning evaluation as it relates to driving • Behind the wheel performance evaluation and training utilizing state of the art equipped vehicles • Documentation and scheduling using an online, HIPAA-compliant paperless system.
Applicants must have: • Four years experience as an Occupational Therapist and be currently licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy • A valid North Carolina Driver’s license and eight years of experience as a licensed operator of a motor vehicle • Not had a conviction for a moving violation totaling five or more points in the last three years • Not had a revocation or suspension of driver’s license in the last five years • Proficient in word processing and possess above-average internet skills
