The Proposal Analyst supports client acquisition and retention efforts by drafting and producing original, creative, and collaborative responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Proposal Analyst is responsible for project coordination, i.e., planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating all elements of sales support activity.
Essential Job Functions:
§ Accountable for effective communication and coordination with such staff as sales team, account management, subject matter experts (SMEs) and executive management. § Responsible for analysis of the RFP specifications, review and interpretation of key proposal requirements, and populating the proposal document—which can include coordination with SMEs for nonstandard proposal responses and organizing and conducting any necessary reviews and/or revisions of the proposal documents. § Ensures those agreed upon strategies are incorporated into persuasive, compelling, and customer-focused responses. § Ensures the timely completion of a project in accordance with project management processes and quality standards. § Contributes to the department goal of improved efficiency, effectiveness, and the capture of strategic customer opportunities through the use of reference resources that support proposal development activities, and by guiding and mentoring.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
§ The ideal candidate requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent short turnarounds. This job requires writing and detail-oriented project management skills, with excellent organizational skills. § Highly proficient utilization of a PC in both spreadsheet and word-processing in desktop publishing environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet, etc. § Excellent writing and editing skills (technical and content) preferable. § Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills. § Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects within tight time frames. § Proficiency in PMAPS proposal software desired but not critical. § Experience working in a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company preferred.
Education and Experience:
§ BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. § Minimum of two years experience writing creative, concise, strategically correct, and persuasive business proposals. § Minimum of two years experience with proposal-development processes and project management required. § Minimum of two years experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where tight time frames and strict deadlines are the norm. § Minimum of two years working knowledge of the Pharmacy Benefits Management industry required preferred. § Minimum of two years experience working with Microsoft Office products.
Need to be able to work locally, but once up to speed will be able to work remotely.
