The Project Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of those projects that are assigned to him or her, to assure that the project conforms to the contractual agreement the firm has made with the client, and that the project is completed within the allocated period of time and within the budget that has been assigned.
The Project Manager is responsible for the following activities:
. Assisting in the preparation of proposals based on project assignments received from the Vice President. . Developing a project task list to define the scope of work and participating in presentations to clients. . Understanding the requirements of the contract and assigning project tasks, budgets and schedules to design team members. . Providing technical guidance and assisting in the development of junior level staff. . Verifying the accuracy and quality of all technical work. . Monitoring project tasks to maintain budget, schedule and scope of work. . Preparing written reports and correspondence to client.
Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering. Design experience should include layout, geometry, grading, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, and utilities (water, sewer, storm drains). Experience working on federal state and local development projects is required.
Proficient use of MS Office software. Must have the ability to utilize computer systems as a tool to effectively manage projects. Must understand CAD operations. Must have developed the following skills: job knowledge, communication, leadership, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgment and problem solving.
BS in Civil Engineering
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. 2. 8 + years design experience including layout, geometry, grading, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, and utilities (water, sewer, storm drains). 3. Experience working on federal, state, and local development projects
