Shugalicious Events, located in Baltimore, MD, is not your ordinary event planning organization, rather a professional service where your vision is our passion. With over 10 years of experience coordinating and planning events, having built a reputation in the industry planning events from formal children’s pageants to adult themed parties; you are guaranteed to have an event that is sure to keep people talking.
Shugalicious is currently seeking Event Planning Interns with and without experience. Even if you have no event planning experience here is your opportunity to jump in with both feet. We are currently planning major events and are seeking those that are looking to work hard, learn a lot and HAVE FUN. We can place you into just about any kind of event planning position – from children’s events, social round tables, to adult themed events.
Events internships last between 6 to 12 months or we can do two consecutive unpaid six month placements for you to make up your 12 month university sandwich requirements. However ALL Interns will receive a stipend, event bonus for each event they are able to execute and funds for travel/gas.
* Marketing research in the area of the singles market & development of new event styles * Monitoring of competitors offerings * Sourcing suppliers for new event formats * Marketing Strategy & programming to develop & build members database & sell tickets to large parties * Cost Control Report Management * Event management in the area of small & large parties * Customer Service & database of events management
Intern Must: - Be able to move around the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD area without assistance - Be available to work some nights and Saturdays - Have great telephone skills - Be coach-able - Maintain professional dress while conducting business - Available for status conference call and update meetings - Must have Internet and cell phone access - Sign nondisclosure agreement about company events and business
