This position will be primarily responsible for data analysis, evaluation, and reporting of findings related to the National Child Traumatic Stress Network Core Data Set, using advanced statistical skills in compilation and analysis of data to promote the goals of the UCLA/Duke National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) data analysis supplement plan as submitted to SAMHSA. Position will be located in Durham, NC at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS).
Work Performed: Perform a variety of duties involving the application of intermediate-advanced statistical and technical skills to support the design of the NCTSN data analysis supplement. 40% of position time will be dedicated to interacting with and providing consultation to NCTSN grantees who have received mini-grant support to participate in data supplement activities
Provide statistical input in the design, execution and analysis of scientifically conducted studies. Assist with the formulation of research hypotheses, selection of appropriate statistical data analytic strategies, and presentation of findings. Familiarity with advanced multivariate models (i.e., SEM, HLM, Event History Analysis) is required.
Operate one or more systems of computer hardware and statistical analysis software for the management and analysis of data (e.g., SPSS, SAS). Merge and process longitudinal data from multiple relational tables. Identify missing data and records. Write and update SAS code which automatically generates and updates summary tables using: SAS/ODS, SAS/MACRO, SQL, SAS, BASE, SAS/GRAPH. Identify complex relationships between variables using cross-tabulation, correlation, odds ratios and risk ratios, chi-square and t-tests; develop and test multivariate linear, non-parametric, and mixed models.
Provide assistance to the evaluation team in developing metrics and methodologies for the evaluation component of activities conducted under the supplement funds and provide statistical reports from evaluation data to SAMHSA and the NCTSI cross site evaluator.
Participate in the development of operations and procedures for the management of statistical data. Serve as lead statistician for NCTSN data supplement project.

Required Qualifications at this Level: Work requires a minimum of a Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics or related field and relevant experience, or a Bachelors degree in statistics, biostatistics or related field and 2 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or work experience.

Experience working in a collaborative environment and strong communication skills are a plus.
