This position will primarily be responsible for growing the spa business concept, managing operational efficiencies and increasing the company's stature in the professional spa / skincare market.
In addition this person will work closely with the company's Education, Marketing, Sales and Business Development departments and insure that all aspects of the philosophy are coordinated throughout the company and within the professional community.
This position will manage and provide leadership for two direct reports that will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Spa.
Spa Job Functions: . Development of spa brand - financially and conceptually. . Responsible for delivering on Spa budget and P&L reporting . Strategically manage all areas of revenue generation, by demonstrating a strong sense of innovation with the health, beauty and wellness category. . Owner of all areas of expense management. Create new operational efficiencies with continued emphasis on improving expense categories. . Accountable for meeting growth targets in service and retail revenue. . Manage Spa Staff, including interviewing, hiring and training of new staff. . Manages service providers, front desk coordinators, Spa Operations Manager, Manager on Duty, and spa attendants. . Responsible for schedule for all service providers and front desk coordinators. . Remain aware of industry trends and how they might influence the company. . Drive marketing efforts and Spa branding in LA via outreach programs (i.e. community lectures, trade shows), Community Networking. . Strategic development of new treatments in accordance with industry trends.
. Coordinate and assure synergy of efforts between all departments and act as key representative for Spa and Professional Business throughout company . Participate in the development of the corporation's long term plans and programs as a strategic partner.
. Engage in sales efforts for key clients in the Salon business and help develop strategy to expand presence in key prestige accounts. . Represent "spa perspective" throughout organizational businesses. . Marketing brainstorming, new initiatives and programs . Promote concept of inclusive health environment to VIP guests and other affiliated spa facilities. . Education Development - Work seamlessly and contribute to professional protocol; identify needs for education, etc. . Attend key strategic planning meeting as they arise. . Attend trade shows and represent professional business at booths at trade shows, where appropriate. . Responsible for communications with PR department and VIP visitors . Prepare retention and performance reports monthly for all service providers, for the purpose of developing goals and benchmarks . Create and manage monthly and yearly goals for all staff . Additional duties as required
Preferred Job Functions: . 5 - 8 years related experience. . Demonstrated leadership in management, staff development and training with analytical and problem-solving skills. . Demonstrated ability to meet objectives within time-sensitive deadlines with outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills. . Excellent communications with strong customer service orientation.
Education Requirements: . Prefer BA/BS degree or equivalent.
