TRADE ADVISOR Energy / Environment

START DATE: ASAP: Full-time position
LOCATION: Atlanta. GA
PLEASE NOTE: MUST BE U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENT OR U.S. CITIZEN

Organization:

The Trade Advisor is based in Atlanta and reports to the Energy/Environment/Industrial Equipment Director also based in Atlanta.

The Trade Advisor assists the Director in covering the following markets:

Bioenergy
Nuclear energy and nuclear waste
Energy storage
New environmental materials


The Energy/Environment Department assists French companies with their business development in the United States. We organize collective delegations and individual missions to introduce French companies to potential U.S. business partners and clients and provide market knowledge and information related to the industry.


Responsibilities:

The Trade Advisor will provide support in covering the above-mentioned industries and will contribute to the following activities:
• Organize, prepare, and attend collective missions to promote the French industry in the US.
• identification of potential commercial partners for French exporters
• Networking with the industry in the US.
• information-gathering and content development related to these markets in the US to advise French companies
• Annual event-planning including creation and following of budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher
• Fluent in French
• Two to three years work experience in organizing networking events and commercial missions
• Knowledge of the Energy/Environment industry is ideal but not required
• Pro-active individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and work independently
• Team-player, able to integrate, contribute to, lead, and coordinate projects with other members of the team
• Capacity to multi-task, and high attention-to-detail
• Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. as well as in France
• Working knowledge of computer application (word, Excel..)

Benefits:
42.500 salary (not negotiable) and 5 weeks paid vacation, bonus potential.
