• Electrically powered, electronically controlled, volume cycled lung ventilator. • Designed to function as a controller, an assistor or an assitor-control1er. • A variety of audible and visual alarms and indicators are provided to help protect your patients • Simplicity of operation
Control Mode Inspiration is initiated by an adjustable timer and terminates when either a preselected Volume has been delivered or maximum pressure limit has been reached.
Assist Mode Inspiration is initiated by patient effort and is ended when either a pre-selected Volume has been delivered or maximum pressure limit has been reached.
Assist / Control Inspiration is initiated by either an adjustable timer or by a patient inspiratory effort. "Rate" and "Sensitivity" are adjusted so that if the patient fails to begin inspiration, the ventilator wilt automatically provide an inspiratory cycle. Inspiration is ended when either pre-selected volume has been delivered or maximum pressure limit has been reached.
Standard Controls Rate: 0 to 60 cycles per minute. Normal pressure limit: +20 to +80 cmH20. Normal volume: minimum to 2200 ml. Peak flow: minimum to 100 LPM. Sensitivity: -9 to + 10 cmH2O with total patient lock out. Manual inspiration: pushbuttons for start of normal volume inspiration or sigh volume inspiration. Expiratory resistance: uncalibrated control to retard expiratory gas flow.
Sigh Mode Sigh frequency and sigh multiples are operator adjustable with regard to the Control, assist/control and assist functions, Inspiration is ended when either a preset volume or a maximum sigh pressure limit has been reached. After a sigh inspiration, allowed exhalation time is prolonged automatically to compensate for the increase in tidal volume.
Sigh Mode. Controls Sigh volume: calibrated control, adjustable approximately minimum 2200 ml. Sigh pressure limit: calibrated control, adjustable +20 to +80 cmH20. Sigh rate: calibrated control, adjustable 0 to 15 sigh intervals per hour.
Alarms Ratio: red light and audible alarm indicates inspiratory time is greater than ½ of cycle time. Threshold I:E is 1:1. High pressure: red light and audible alarm indicate operator adjusted maximum system pressure limit during normal or sigh cycles have been exceeded and the ventilator has pressure cycled. Oxygen: red light and audible alarm indicate low oxygen inlet pressure. Spimmeter alarm: flashing red light and audible alarm warns if collected volume is below preset minimum for expired volume or frequency. Continuous audible alarm warns of inadvertent off condition of exhalation valve line disconnect. Temperature overshoot: red light and audible alarm on 7900 temperature alarm or cascade II warns that temperature at wye has exceeded threshold.
