Ramco Innovations, an established high tech automation distributor, is seeking an experienced Automation Sales Engineer to build customer relationships and increase sales revenue in our Eastern Iowa territory.
The primary responsibility is to provide innovative solutions to customers culminating in the development and growth of customer accounts. Generate long-term business relationships through consultative selling of high tech automation products and services by assessing customers’ needs and goals and aligning our products accordingly. Increase sales and represent a large mix of product lines within the following technology categories:
1. Factory Automation 2. Electrical Control 3. Safety 4. Sensing 5. Motion and Robots
Schedule and execute customer sales calls, assess customer needs, coordinate solutions and utilize in-house technical expertise when necessary, follow up on all related activities.
Manage assigned accounts, seek new opportunities with new accounts, and maintain consistent contact.
Increase value to the customer by continually acquiring deeper knowledge of Ramco’s products, presenting new products and technology, and developing sales and presentation skills.
Ramco Innovations is seeking a self-motivated, high-energy technical sales professional who shares our core values, honesty, respect, quality, customer satisfaction and family. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background matched with a focused sales drive and excellent communication skills.
Desire to learn automation technology and products required, such as PLC’s, sensors, and motors. Ability to work independently, show time management skills, and travel to offsite business and customer locations required.
Technical Bachelors degree preferred, but equivalent years of experience in industrial environment will be considered.
