Paralegal – Personal Injury

Growing law firm’s Bethlehem, PA, office seeks a full-time Paralegal experienced in personal injury. Candidate must have a minimum of three years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree a plus. Bi-lingualism a plus. Send resume with salary history and employer reference list (includes address, contact name, title and telephone number). Paralegal is a full-time position at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, L.L.C. The position requires the successful execution of the following skills and responsibilities:

Job Description

1. Supporting assigned attorneys to include:

a. Composing, preparing, revising and finalizing written documents and correspondence as directed by the attorney
b. Preparing client intake forms, retainer agreements and electronic filings
c. Familiarity with the New Jersey Court Systems’ calendar, filings, deadlines
d. Maintaining attorney files in a consistent and logical manner
e. Transcribing dictation
f. Answering phones
g. Scheduling meetings and conference calls
h. Opening and forwarding all forms of mail – paper, electronic and voice
i. Entering time and disbursements
j. Faxing and scanning documents
k. Managing calendars
l. Preparing files and producing documents in preparation of legal proceedings
m. Closing files when necessary

2. Working when requested to help other attorneys complete large and/or urgent projects. At times, this may necessitate occasionally working before or after hours on an overtime basis to get the job done.

3. Possessing a “can do” attitude no matter what the task or timeframe for completion.

4. Being pleasant to all callers, visitors and clients even when presented with “difficult personalities.”

5. Having a good attendance record. Being courteous and letting others know well in advance when you need flexibility in your assigned work schedule to accommodate special personal needs. Please call your assigned attorneys – and not rely on email – when you need to be unexpectedly out of the office.

6. Possessing a “team player” attitude toward your employment. If you see a co-worker struggling, pitch in help out. If you have a specific skill, share it with others. Suggestions are always welcome.

7. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
