We are a FAST-GROWING, Pro-Life/Pro-Family, Non-Profit, Inner City Outreach & Ministry to At-Risk Kids. Based out of a local Christian non-denominational church, we have 2 childcare centers, serving children ages 6 weeks - 13 years, located in central Colorado Springs. We are looking to hire applicants with a heart to serve kids and their families.
With the recent change in Early Educator state qualifications, we realize that there are a lot of people who were either a.) qualified to teach under the old regulations and are now unqualified or b.) were close to be qualified under the old regulations but now need more hours to qualify or need formal education to qualify. With this in mind, we have created a new position called an "Educator in Training" to employ teachers currently unqualified but close to being qualified. An "Educator in Training" works as a Classroom Aide, gaining hours, while working on any additional formal education that may be needed. We have researched and developed ways to obtain qualifications quickly and at "no-to-minimal-cost" to the "Educator". Once an "Educator-in-Training" completes the necessary hours/education requirements, the "Educator-in-Training" will be promoted to a "Jr. Educator" (includes a raise). Once a teaching position becomes available, the "Jr. Educator" will be moved into that position and receive additional support and training for their new position. Early Childhood Educator status will be reached once "Jr. Educator" teaching probation is completed and an additional raise will be given. We have found this set-up to be extremely beneficial as the program gradually develops and trains educators to be successful in the Early Childhood Education field and with Springs of Life Children's Center.
