SMARTECH, a leader in the computer services industry, is looking for contractors as Field Service Technicians who are experienced in removal and replacement of computer hardware parts. You will be dispatched throughout the area to replace defective parts on major brand computer equipment. These service calls are for hardware replacement only, with most calls taking less than an hour.

Technicians must have valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle. Our technicians are contacted by email and/or phone when service calls are present in their coverage area. All calls are pre-diagnosed and replacement parts are shipped to the customer’s location or the local depot. You will set up an appointment with the customer go to the location complete the call and report closure.

SMARTECH provides all of its contractors an opportunity to become Dell certified on all Dell products, certain certifications are necessary to get started. We also have a training program for all team members.

Essential Job Duties:

•Provide on-site tech support to include installation, maintenance and repairs of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
•Maintain open lines of communication with assigned SDC to ensure customer satisfaction and meet Service Level Agreements.
•Track and ensure return of all parts.
•Provide SDC with required call closure documentation and necessary reporting.
•Resolve customer issues using superior customer service and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

•Must be authorized to work in the United States.
•Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation.
•Excellent customer service skills and a desire to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
•Must have an ability to work with minimal immediate supervision.
•Ability to organize and prioritize service calls in consultation with SDC in order to meet overall needs of our customers and service level agreements.
•Ability to follow necessary documentation, call closure and parts tracking processes, and procedures.
•Ability to document and maintain accurate time and mileage records.
•Dell certifications preferred.
