Position Title: Sr. Product Manager Electronics - IL
Location Chicago (West Suburb)
Company is a leading global supplier of high performance components for the mobile phone market.
We are currently recruiting for a person with the skills, knowledge, abilities and motivation to fulfill the role of the Senior Product Line Manager, with the capability and capacity to grow into a Business Unit Manager with full responsibilities.
Sr. Product Line Manager Overall P&L
- Understand value-creation/cost savings and plan introductions (PCN coordination), and help execute/oversight to exceed metrics. Monitor yield and overall costs of product line/facility. . Develop annual budget and drive objectives down into the organization/functional units . Product line management: E&O, end of life/product life cycle . Participate in bi-monthly factory planning meeting, S&OP, and finance meetings . Develop, prioritize and communicate internal product roadmap development with R&D, working closely with NPI teams in KEI and KES2 . Monitor and recommend factory capacity planning based on forecast/outlook . Manage/support key supplier relationships and roadmap alignment through vehicles such as quarterly business review and visits. . Monitor internal and external quality related issues and support corrective actions and customer interface as needed . Communicate with factories/supply chain to coordinate inventory strategies, product mix, life cycles . Understand competitors, competitive advantages/disadvantages, and develop internal and external strategies around this. . Monitor trends (business and technical) of primary markets (mobile phone, notebook, tablet, gaming, and general consumer . Visit customers frequently to understand/align product roadmaps & promote capability . Monitor customer sampling and customer funnel with sales . Visit and support reference designs, including support of chip-set co's . Develop pricing strategies. Oversee all customer off-book pricing, and participate in key customer price negotiations. . Primary contact point/filter for communication between field and internal . Develop monthly unit forecast with sales . Develop all presentation materials for internal and external customer communication
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. B.S. Business or Technical Degree required (MBA preferred). 2. Product Development experience in a company that manufactures components for the mobile phone industry (ie semi-conductors, microphones, other internal components). 3. Product Management experience in a company that manufactures components for the mobile phone industry (ie semi-conductors, microphones, other internal components). 4. P&L experience.
