About the Job
Reporting to the Director of Learning Development this person will work collaboratively with clients and design teams in the production of technical online courses and supplemental materials. The Flash Graphics Developer will assist in the development of course materials by analyzing and documenting the customer’s environment, machinery and processes. This individual will develop and provide recommendations for essential content, adherence to compliance standards, language and editorial consistency. Contribute to the development and implementation of sound workplace practices that facilitate communications among workers and with clients
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and create graphics and animations in Flash CS4 required for instructional materials
- Ensure the content integrity of course development projects through a clear understanding of customer training needs
- Provide methods for content analysis to ensure appropriateness of online instructional materials
- Communicate frequently and effectively with project team to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are being fulfilled.
- Provide periodic reports on course and development projects to management
- Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively diagnose problems and pose realistic solutions with minimal management intervention
- Coordinate resources with Director of Learning
- Development to deliver on project plans
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people/positions ranging from client project sponsors/management to development and operational staff

- Extensive knowledge in Flash ActionScript
- Knowledge in the use of Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments and people
- Ability to create vector based graphics that are used in animations
- Understanding of various operating systems, file systems, file formats and file types
- Basic knowledge of HTML, streaming audio, video, file types and formats
- Familiarity with graphical design elements appropriate for online instruction
Education and Experience:Bachelors Degree in multimedia technical graphical design or equivalent work experience. Flash and animation skills and experience highly important.
