This custom cedar home is nestled near a mountain range that borders the Rattlesnake Wilderness and also offers spectacular views of the Mission Mountain peaks. It can accommodate easily 12-15 people. The house is fully furnished. On a large deck which runs the full length of the house there is a hot tub and a barbecue. The East Fork of Finley Creek runs adjacent to the house. Wireless, satellite TV and local phone service are provided. Located in a small valley north of the university town of Missoula, Cougar Ranch B&B is only 15 miles from Costco and the city limits, but it's a different world. The airport is 10 minutes away straight down U. S. Highway 93 North. The ranch is on the Flathead Indian Reservation at the beginning of the Mission Mountain Valley which leads towards Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. When you cannot see across the Missoula valley because of inversions and smog you come up a thousand feet to the clean fresh air of Cougar Ranch and you can count the trees on the sides of the mountains towering overhead. In the small town of Arlee, 7 miles away, you may enjoy local artists, cafes, a full service grocery, rodeos and traditional powwow celebrations. While you may rent the whole lodge at Cougar Ranch, if you prefer to be pampered, the host will offer bed and breakfast accommodations and gourmet food. Recreational activities include fishing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, biking, horse riding.
