Position Summary: IT Works is looking for a mid-level software developer with a minimum of 5 years programming experience to join our IT Works Team.
• Develop new working and maintain existing functionality in current software products • Keep programming bugs to a minimum through proper testing and code revision. Quickly correct any bugs that do occur. • Meet code performance and security requirements • Estimate time required to complete development tasks and meet predefined and agreed upon time deadlines • Interface directly with clients when required • Attend and contribute to software design meetings • Share programming knowledge with other members of the development team • Consult with other members of the development team when assistance is required • Follow internal coding conventions and meet standards for code clarity and conciseness • Clearly document unusual or unclear sections of code • Assist the support team in handling client support issues when required
Essential Skills • High attention to detail • Ability to estimate and work within pre-defined timeframes • Ability to develop new, complex functionality within an existing system with minimal supervision • Ability to write clear, cohesive, robust and reusable code • Familiar with standard OO design patterns and practices

They are not general ledger systems, but they are used with general ledger systems such as PeopleSoft, SCT Banner, SAP, Oracle Financials, Datatel, FRS, FAS, CUFS, and others.
• Effort AdministratorTM is our newest web-based time and effort certification and reporting system designed to be the official system of record for an institution.

Over 225 installations of IT Works software have been performed since the late 1980s. All development, support, marketing, and sales efforts are handled out of our office in Raleigh, NC.
