Hey guys! Mi name is Caro, i'm 25 years old, and came all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to study photography at ICP (International Center of Photography). And I'll be shooting people living in Williamsburg for the next 5 to 8 months, as my photo project for the school. Some of you will probably see me standing in different corners of the hood with a large format camera taking portraits of random people. I'm looking for men, women, couples, between their 20's and 30's, who lives in Williamsburg and/or consider themselves a part of it's landscape. The goal of my project is to re-determinate the term "Williamsburg Hipster". I've been hearing it a lot, and can't really understand what does it means yet. If someone feels identified with this term, or the opposite but for some reason people catalogue you as a hipster anyway, and you're interested in being photographed and help me out with this sociological photo-essay, please get back to me. I'd love to meet you. Of course I would share the pictures with all of the subjects. Can't wait for you to contact me! Send me an email and I'll get back to you asap so we can meet and start shooting. Thanks!!! Caro
PS. The pictures are really cool, i'm doing this project in color film and alternating formats. 4x5, Medium format 6x6, and 35mm. You would get, digital copies of the scans, and some prints!
PS2. I'd like to take your portrait, but also it would be great if you let me follow you, like to document a day of your life or something like that. But we can talk about that once we meet.
