Description: • A Christian-focused organization in Colorado Springs is seeking a highly, motivated provider with a passion for working with female patients ages 18-64 providing direct patient care by performing well woman’s exams, routine sick appointments, minor in-office procedures, and referral to other community agencies as necessary. • Full-time position with benefits.
Essential Functions: • Evaluates physical and psychosocial health status of the patient through a comprehensive health history and physical examination, using skills of observation, inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation, and using or ordering diagnostic instruments or procedures. • Assesses normal and abnormal findings from history, physical examination, and diagnostic reports. • Diagnoses patient's health status and health care issues. • Oversees and directs nursing, medical, and clerical personnel in provision of patient care. • Plans, implements, and evaluates care. • Manages plan of care prescribed for patient. • Initiates and maintains accurate records, appropriate legal documents, and other health care reports. • Develops individualized teaching plans with patient based on health needs. • Counsels individuals, and families about health, illness, and promotion of health maintenance. • Participates in policy analysis and development of new policy initiatives in woman’s health. • A holistic approach will be a must.
Qualifications: • Master's degree in nursing or as a physician assistant (PA). • Valid Colorado RN/APN or PA licensure with Prescriptive Authority. • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) as a Family NP or Women’s Health NP or a certificated PA with at least 3-5 years of previous experience in woman’s health • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR. • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, conflict resolution, counseling, problem solving, decision making, oral communication, written communication, interpersonal relations, adaptability, change management, results orientation, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience working with a non-profit organization, multi-cultural, and/or multi-socioeconomic patients is a plus.
