Leading national healthcare consulting firm, which provides a broad portfolio of business and technology consulting services to medical practices, hospitals, and other industry organizations. We assist our clients with the process of selecting, contracting, and implementing electronic health record and practice management system solutions. We support any size practice, from the multi-provider enterprise to the solo practitioner, to streamline process, workflow, and implement best practice clinical protocols with the ultimate goal of improving patient care, optimizing efficiency, achieving compliance, and maximizing revenue to the client.
We are currently seeking consultants, employee and 1099, to assist our clients with technology adoption and operational transformation nationally. The consultant will be a subject matter expert in several different areas requiring interaction with executives, vendors, clients, and other consultants. You will be responsible for working closely with the client on system selection, contracting, workflow analysis and design, developing and implementing processes, project management, training, support, and system optimization. Identifying new sales opportunities and up selling of services are required. Communication skills must be superior to display enthusiasm with a calm and professional demeanor.


Conduct office assessments and make appropriate recommendations to the client
RFP development and vendor selection process
Coordinate and attend product demos on behalf of client
Contract negotiation assistance
Project plan development and management
Exercise independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action to be taken during the course of an implementation, based on the analysis performed and evaluation of all possible solutions
Handle all project management related duties (update project plan, weekly status calls, reporting, resources, and issue management)
Escalate client issues in a timely fashion
Workflow and process analysis
Workflow map creation
Able to provide presentations to clients with all process and workflow recommendations, solutions, and implementation strategies
Technical assessments
Resource assessments
Quality initiative knowledge (ARRA/HITECH, CMS, e-RX, and PQRI)
Provide and arrange for appropriate training of all client staff
Coordinate vendor training
Assist client as required, to develop and assist in the process of acceptance testing
Office re-design (post-implementation)
Management and staff coaching
Independently maintain personal calendar and schedule
Accurately track and submit timesheets and expenses on a weekly basis
Evening and weekend work may be required
This position allows work at the client site and work from a remote home-office location
Able to promote outside sales, up sell of services, and maintain client relationships
Perform other related duties as assigned

Candidates should have a history of academic and/or professional success
Associates or bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge of and experience in ambulatory health care setting
Workflow and process analysis and improvements
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Speak and write fluent English
Excellent organizational skills
Must be a team player
Ability to manage customer expectations
Commitment to adhering to internal process, procedures, and administrative deliverables
Proficient working with MS Office Suite of products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
Working knowledge of healthcare industry especially ambulatory care services and physician office workflow
Self-starter, with strong sense of ownership, assertive follow-through, and orientation towards results
Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
Proactively handle multiple issues and projects concurrently
Exhibit a positive, open, and friendly attitude in all interactions
Ability to travel and must possess a valid driver's license
Able to perform and engage current client and potential prospects for new and continued sales


Healthcare project management experience including software implementation lifecycle
Healthcare industry background
Practice management experience
MAC computer software knowledge a plus
Proven experience successfully training, supporting and/or providing implementation assistance to clients
Working knowledge of MS Project or other software to develop project schedules, timelines, and reports
Basic understanding of technical and medical terminology
Knowledge of working with CRM software for client, sales, and marketing management
