A local nonprofit is looking for outgoing, reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy individuals to be the frontline ambassadors for the organization.
About U.C.A.R.E: United Cancer Alliance Reaching Everyone (U.C.A.R.E.) is a Charlotte based organization dedicated to easing the financial burden, caused by treatment cost, for local families undergoing treatment for any form of cancer. U.C.A.R.E generates funds through the generous donations of local corporations, charity events, and activities with various volunteer groups. However, U.C.A.R.E truly relies on the hard work of our dedicated field staff that interacts with the local general public in each county across the Carolinas. The field technicians can often be found outside of local businesses, such as Walmarts, both educating the general public of the cause and meaning of U.C.A.R.E, while soliciting donations from those able to spare a little extra on their shopping trip. The funds collected are then distributed to those who have applied for assistance.
Job Description: Field Technicians will be responsible for promptly arriving at assigned locations, to set up donation tables outside of various storefronts. Then, each Field Technician interacts with the patrons entering and exiting the business with the goal of raising funds for the organization. Additionally, field specialist should be prepared to report to their immediate supervisor at the beginning and end of each work day with the specific updates for their location. Candidates for this position will be prepared to travel up to 4 hours from Charlotte with overnight accommodations provided. Reliable transportation is a requirement. Most often, hours are Friday to Sunday, 10 am to 6pm. Field Technician will need to briefly visit the Charlotte office each Monday to exchange supplies and prepare for the upcoming week. Field specialist may also be asked to help with future events local to the Charlotte region.
Although, U.C.A.R.E is currently looking for individuals willing to dedicate every weekend to the organization, we also recognize that there are many qualified individuals with a desire to make a difference with less available time. We encourage anyone with a desire to make a difference through our organization to apply and will strive to accommodate for the right candidate.
Currently, The Field Technician position is the primary entry position. However, with more people in need and more individuals compassionately willing to give what little extra they have, U.C.A.R.E is currently expanding to other areas of the country. This may lead to future positions with U.C.A.R.E for some exemplary candidates.
