Job Summary/Mission

We are looking for a reliable, highly motivated, person interested in a full time role as an Accounting Controller. This role provides strong analytical support and sound financial advice for the Company. Primary responsibilities are to provide leadership and coordination of Company financial planning/forecasting, debt financing, budget management functions which include metric reporting, cost structure analysis and special projects. This role will also require hands on operational activities day to day to ensure company accounting procedures conform to GAAP
.
This position requires an individual who is experienced in monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements, recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the Company and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting group including invoicing, reconciliation and expense management.

Responsibilities

• Preparing regular financial reporting and analysis and managing the monthly close process.
• Managing the day to day accounting operations of A/R, A/P, Payroll, and revenue reporting to ensure continuing quality of services. Motivating and developing the accounting team. Researching and resolving accounting issues.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and completing monthly and annual client reporting.
• Maintain relationships with Bank, Health Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance, and Tax Advisors.
• Developing and documenting key accounting policies and ensuring compliance with the key controls over financial reporting. Working with operations to ensure compliance with other operational controls.
• Assisting senior leadership in developing annual operating and financial budgets, performing regular P&L analysis, updating projections monthly, and providing other ad hoc analysis.
• Working closely with the corporate office and support teams to ensure compliance with Company standards
• Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on behalf of the Company
• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner, identify remedial actions and ensure follow-through
• Utilize analytical tools and information systems to identify negative expense trends and recommend corrective action
• Establish effective working relationships with internal project managers and external clients/consultants
• Safeguard the Companies’ assets through the establishment of effective internal controls
• Back-up computer data and accounting system on a regular basis.
• Pro-active management of working capital/cash flow requirements, including reporting
• At month end, produce the flash reporting document to provide visibility into the current month’s results
• Maintain corporate personnel files.
• Supervise administrative support personnel.
• Assess, revise and implement more efficient internal processes to maximize departmental efficiency
• Establish a strong internal communications process for the Accounting department to ensure a two-way information flow is developed
• Act as business partner to operational units through the provision of financial support, information requests and participation in team meetings.
• Assist President in making decisions in broad-based matters.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related degree
• 5+ years experience with job cost accounting
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in managing accounting operations and close processes, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, contract management, internal controls, audit, or related experience.
• Self-directed, and ability to excel in a fast paced business environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with various levels of management to provide support, ensure the effectiveness of internal controls, and consult on controlling costs and maximizing profits.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and organizational skills essential.
• Direct experience in system enhancement and training.
• Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced, highly client-focused environment.
• Ability to respond appropriately to constant change and perform and prioritize multiple tasks as dictated by the President in the service of ImagiCorps’ clients.
