SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THIS POSITION:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization, and learn the business in a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. This role offers significant business exposure, learning and potential career progression into other areas of the business including but not limited to R&D, Quality, or Process Engineering. Under general direction of the Director of Operations, apply engineering skills. Provide trained personnel the guidance, support and supervision to complete and maintain the production schedule for all areas of the business, with quality and on-time delivery as a primary focus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate with scheduling to ensure production schedule is staffed effectively
• Ensure the most efficient use of headcount and machine resources to meet customer delivery requirements
• Over-time monitoring and reductions, “on-call” lists and execution (absences & sickness)
• Safety conscience; Maintain all processes in compliance with ISO or other quality systems and Safety/Occupational Safety & Health Administration (“OSHA”) requirements
• Perform Production functions in accordance with established annual business objectives metrics and targets
• Ensure raw material kits are complete and delivered on time
• Review completed run-sheets for accuracy and proper materials deductions
• Report Production Issues daily for the morning Operations status meeting
• Interface with all cross-functional groups when appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, electromechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 2-5+ years of relevant work experience
• Prior Supervisory experience within a diverse manufacturing environment

• Able to manage production crew, conduct annual performance reviews and effectively address any performance issues

• Experience with manufacturing software is strong plus

Other Training Requirements:
OSHA Compliance, Hazardous waste management, Toxic Use Reduction Act (“TURA”) training, Supervisory Workshops
