PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in Gathering/Midstream in the Construction Department with the construction of new pipelines as a stormwater/reclamation inspector and the implementation of a Stormwater Management Plan. Duties and Responsibilities include: site planning, oversight of BMP installation and maintenance, stormwater inspections, oversight of stormwater/reclamation earthwork, reclamation/re-vegetation, and record keeping. Work with construction department to implement systems and processes to ensure protective surface management practices are employed. Point of contact for construction-environmental field compliance and environmental issues. Assist the Surface Management Team. Work with State and Federal Agencies, Land, Community Relations, and Regulatory Departments on permitting and landowner issues as needed. Maintain Record Keeping and Data Management.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands: Could include light to moderate physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds; occasional lifting and carrying; regular walking/hiking and standing; a full range of body movements including pushing, pulling, climbing, and crawling; foot/eye coordination to operate motor vehicle; vision to read plans, specifications, and other information; hand/eye coordination for operation of computer keyboard; frequent hearing and speech communication with employees, contractors, and citizens.
Work Environment: Working outdoors and driving in/being exposed to: all weather conditions and over all types of terrain, dust, noise, traffic, and moving construction equipment.
Equipment Used: Operates a motor vehicle, measuring equipment such as tapes and levels, camera, GIS and GPS and personal computer.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelorís Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a directly related field.
Experience: At least 2 years progressively responsible erosion control and environmental compliance experience including oversight of BMP installation and maintenance through all phases of construction. At least 2 years conducting stormwater inspections for the construction of pipelines (Pipeline ROW).
Knowledge: Knowledge of the principles and practices related to site grading, seeding, soil types, and land ecology. Knowledge of local, State, and Federal Environmental laws and regulations in regards to stormwater and reclamation.
Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, and agencies. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; analyze and compile technical information and reports; ability to perform mathematical calculations; read and interpret project plans and drawings; and write and maintain detailed reports, logs, and inspection records.
Skills: Skill in the interpretation of engineer's drawings, standards, and specifications, and interpreting construction site issues and regulations.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Colorado driver's license with a good driving record. Current CISEC certified or equivalent. This position may require the use of personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, personal computer, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
