My name is Caitlin and I'm a Student Outreach Associate for Project Revive in Boulder.
I am currently working on a service project entitled "All About You Day" and I'm desperately seeking professional hair stylists for MEN and WOMEN, makeup artists, manicurists and massage therapists would be willing to donate their services on Saturday December 18th for a homeless outreach event.
If you know of any cosmetology students looking to acquire volunteer hours serving in the community, please help spread the word about this project. Project Revive is a registered non-profit organization that operates under the much larger organization called Global Services.
Visit the video posts/articles found on the Daily Camera website to learn about past projects. (The Boulder Creek Clean Up)
The objective of the event is to provide 30 homeless people in the Boulder area with a haircut, manicure, makeup and maybe a short chair massage. It's a day to provide pampering that might not otherwise be obtainable. Our event is Saturday December 18th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Cornerstone Church in Boulder. We are looking for volunteers that could provide their own supplies (shampoo and conditioner would be provided by us for hair washing). Any volunteer time during that day would be much appreciated.
In any and all reports of this event, (i.e. church notices/ bulletins, CU School of Journalism reports, and possibly a follow up article with the Daily Camera) we would be happy to recognize your contribution to the success of the event.
