Required Skills: •Experience with and full understanding of DoD security policy (8500 series, CJCS 6510, etc) •Experience with and full understanding of Navy Information Assurance guidance (5200, 8500 series publications) •Experience with and full understanding of DISA STIGs •Experience with and full understanding of DoD security Architecture. •Strong attention to detail and technical writing skills required. •Minimum Active DoD Secret clearance.
IA Certification Requirements: •Must possess security certification for the Information Assurance Technician (IAT) III OR be able to obtain one within 6 months of beginning work on the program. (IAT Level III = CISA, CISSP, SCNA, or GSE certifications). •Must possess an operating system certification in accordance with Attachment 5: DoD 8570.1-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program).
Desired skills: •Experience designing, planning, testing and implementing network technology solutions. •Experience configuring, installing and maintaining IA hardware and software to include, but not limited to, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (network and host-based), DNS, routers, and switches. •Understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration ports, protocols and services. •Knowledge of DoD and DoN IA policy as well as IAVA management policy and procedures. •Experience maintaining, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting IA hardware and software. •Experience with DISA STIGS and SRR (scripts).
