The Synergy Company in Moab, Utah is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and personable individual to fill a challenging but rewarding full-time Purchasing Agent position. Responsibilities will include purchasing materials for manufacturing, ensuring the company’s ability to meet production and delivery schedules. Individual will work closely with vendors to build effective partnerships. Additionally this position will include: preparing, reviewing, and issuing purchase orders; gathering quotes and examining bids; monitoring supplier performance to ensure materials conform to contract; sourcing and qualifying new suppliers/vendors; analyzing inventory reports, and maintaining accurate data. This individual must effectively interface with multiple departments and outside constituents.
The successful candidate for this detail-oriented position must have at least three years of purchasing experience, expertise in the manufacturing industry using an ERP/MRP system, and knowledge of contractual arrangements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is also required. Experience in the dietary supplement industry is a plus.
