Due to the growth of our electronic networking business, we are seeking an experienced management professional for the role of District Sales Manager. Our District Sales Manager reports directly to executive level management. This position requires a highly motivated and self-driven individual capable of producing results from a well educated professional sales staff. The ideal candidate will have wide range of experiences in the areas of construction, building trades, finance, medical services or other related key industry segments. In addition to the qualifications listed below, our ideal candidate will have experience with business-to-business internet based marketing.
Overall Position Description:
The District Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and managing a staff of up to 30 results oriented sales professionals. The talented person chosen for this position will strategically focus on achieving growth in Central Ohio. This will be achieved by continuing the development and motivation of the sales staff, identifying and enrolling new business opportunities, successfully negotiating contracts, and maintaining key relationships with member service providers. The essential job functions include but are not limited to: Help educate and develop business-to-business referral sources; Motivate and track the performance of our professional sales staff; Appear at and promote the mission of the Company at trade shows, conventions and other networking events; Develop an overall strategy to drive transaction growth and create metrics to track performance; Train and calibrate the performance of the professional sales staff; Build synergy and add value to our sales team; Take existing B2B relationships and grow them into new referral relationships; Participate in sales meetings to provide critical marketplace and competitive information; Be a team player with the ability to take sales from introduction, to development and finally to long term relationship.
This position directly reports to and interacts with executive level management. As a result this position requires:
Minimum of Bachelors degree, however, MBA or equivalent experience preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Business Management. Excellent communication and interpersonal management skills. Self motivation with excellent organization and time management skills. Proven success in building and developing B2B sales relationships is critical. Ambitious in the pursuit of goals plus the ability to reject setbacks in our extremely competitive environment. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in business-to-business sales with a proven track record of driving tangible results.
