Defensive Shooting Instructors, Inc. believes that if you work as a State of Florida "G" licensed armed Security officer and carry a firearm to earn your living, you need to be prepared for the eventuality that someday you may have to use it in self defense.

While you are reading this, criminals - the people you will find yourself drawing down on, are training.

Are you prepared skill wise?

Not only do we offer the required yearly 4 hour class & pistol re-qualification ($75.).....we also offer courses you may find can save your life.

We offer:

CLOSE QUARTERS PISTOL CLASS

Most gunfights happen at "bad breath" distance and fall into what’s commonly referred to as "the 3, 3, 3 dynamic."

It happens in 3 seconds, 3 shots are fired, within 3 meters. It’s over.

Will you survive???

Will you prevail???

Surviving is going to the hospital.

Surviving & prevailing is your attacker going to the hospital or morgue, and you being debriefed by the Police.

This is a law enforcement & military skills based live-fire course. Prior experience is required.

Requirements: Eye & ear protection, brimmed baseball-style hat, pistol chambered in 9mm, .38, or .380 with a minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (if they hit the ground they can become fouled – causing firearm malfunctions and reducing student time on the firing line), concealment style holster & magazine or speed loader pouch; 300 rounds of ammunition, Knee and elbow pads (optional), water bottle or hydration device, and, an open mind.

Cost: $200 for 2 hours.

REFLEX/INSTINCT/POINT SHOOTING WITH A PISTOL

Reflex shooting (also known as Instinct shooting) is based on the close combat experience and teachings of Close Quarter Battle icons Rex Applegate, Bill Sykes, and Dan Fairbairn.

Course goal: Whatever action you take defensively, you do it automatically, subconsciously. The answer to whatever attack you are up against is an instinctive reaction. You don’t have time to think about life or death, you just do it as naturally or instinctively as tying your shoe laces or driving a car.

Drills are executed without sights, and the shooter will be brought to skill levels relative to speed and accuracy that will sway even the most hardened "front sight focus" advocates.

Requirements: Eye & ear protection, brimmed baseball-style hat, pistol chambered in 9mm, .38, or .380 with a minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (if they hit the ground they can become fouled – causing firearm malfunctions and reducing student time on the firing line), concealment style holster & magazine or speed loader pouch; 500 rounds of ammunition, Knee and elbow pads (optional), water bottle or hydration device, and, an open mind.

Cost: $300. per person for 3 hours
