We are actively recruiting a Medical Director to provide direct and indirect clinical supervision of healthcare providers and to work in conjunction with healthcare providers on complex medical care issues.
Brief Description of Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for providing medical treatment to uninsured and underinsured patients in Orange County. Oversees the RV mobile clinic operation serving homeless and uninsured population in Orange county, serves as the clinical leader of community clinic with three other NPs and one PA.
This position will also develop and implement policies, procedures and best practices for the clinic as well as oversee the performance of mid-level providers and provides guidance while assuring that the facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
Work Experience and Education Requirements:
Three to five years experience in similar positions. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Doctor, Completion of Medical Doctor Program clinical/residency, Current California Physician license. Admitting Privileges at various Orange County Hospitals. DEA and NPI number. Knowledge of Diagnosis and treatment of medical problems commonly experienced by homeless persons/underinsured. Knowledge of psychosocial factors involved in administering health services for homeless patients. Ability to communicate in Spanish in the health care environment, preferred. Must have a valid California driverís license and acceptable driving record.
