The Egoscue Foundation along with The San Diego Coastal Chamber of Commerce and Del Mar Financial Partners is hosting a Health, Wellness, Art & Music Fest for Kids on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 1pm-4pm.

This event is to promote healthy activities that stimulate the brain and body. Our hope is to encourage healthy habits as we go into fall and winter and to help children to remain active and to exercise their bodies and minds. We expect approximately 500 children to participate in this event from San Diego’s north and south counties.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Egoscue Foundation’s Patch Project Initiative. The Patch Initiative donates Patch Obstacle Courses to Schools and Community Centers throughout the United States. Proceeds from this event will go directly to purchase equipment for schools in San Diego County that have requested the donation. “The Patch” is a fun course that is good for children’s posture, builds their core, increases strength and flexibility, but most of all is fun. Kids use their imagination while they are on “The Patch” to create their own exercises and don’t even realize what a great workout they are getting because they are having so much fun. It is our hope that through the interactive booths at the festival, children will be encouraged to go outside and play or to exercise their minds in ways that are alternative to sitting behind a computer and playing video games all day.

Event/Booth Sponsorships are available. This is a great opportunity to interact with the children and to market your services to the parents of our community. Feel free to also pass the word along to anyone you think would be interested in attending. This event is free to the public.
