Newburgh area Allstate insurance agency seeks bright, upbeat, outgoing and personable bilingual (Spanish) individual to help grow business quickly and profitably. Must be goal orientated and amenable to salary plus incentive compensation based upon activity and eventual sales.
Duties: Markets, solicits, and seeks opportunities for Property and Casualty insurance business for new and existing customers. Offers cross-sell P&C products at every opportunity. Understands and follows all office and underwriting guidelines, plans and procedures. Maintains established production requirements and strives to surpass goals on consistent basis. New business log to be kept as record of production. Along with agent, works prospecting processes as established in the office and aids in managing marketing campaigns including mailings and heavy cold calling. Actively solicits expiration dates and looks to obtain referrals for all lines of business including Life Insurance and Financial Services. Life license not required. Comfort with participation in community service activities and functions are a plus. This is “hands on” position in new agency and customer service such as taking calls and messages, setting appointments, assisting with problems, following up on open items, maintaining files, taking reports and payments and other general office duties as required is essential.
Skills needed: Property and Casualty license within 2 months of hiring if not already licensed. Owner will sponsor training. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess ability to learn new systems to facilitate efficient communications and operations as needed. Some college or business school is a plus but not required.
Salary: $18,200 – $21,000 to start. Raise given upon licensing plus bonus.
