I have been teaching and traveling the world for the past 12 years. Whether a private atelier in New York or a remote village in Ghana, I have found ways to motivate students, achieve success and make a difference. As an artist, educator, and art historian I believe I can be an asset to your child’s development. Whether you are looking for an impressive portfolio for school or just wanting to expand your creative endeavors, I can help. Let’s face it, creativity is the key to thrive in this technological age where we cannot begin to predict what careers will develop in the next 5-10 years.
I was most recently teaching at a reputable private academy. I taught a wide variety of courses from beginning drawing and painting to Advanced Graphic Design, AP Studio Art and AP Art History. I resigned my position a year ago to be a stay at home father to my two young children and work on my painting career.
As an artist I am a figurative painter using doors as a metaphor in my most recent series. My work reflects my travels through the regions most affected by the African Diaspora from its origins in West Africa to final destinations in the Americas such as Haiti. I am an amateur photographer and an expert at Photoshop and use the Adobe Creative Suite in my designs.
My experience in teaching throughout the United States and abroad has given me a unique perspective as a teacher, artist and individual. I look forward to passing on my wisdom, expertise and passion for art to your child.
