We are a new Level 2 Adult Foster Care Home located in a clean and quiet neighborhood of Lake Oswego . We are looking for a very special person who is warm and friendly and possesses a nurturing compassion, patience and understanding of the elderly. This person should share our mission and dedication for our residents: create an atmosphere so that residents can flourish and truly live to the best of their ability, maintain their highest level of independence, and promote a home like atmosphere with an emphasis on outstanding holistic care that will incorporate not only their physical and medical needs but their social, emotional and spiritual needs as well. Please understand that this a key position in our mission and requires a dedicated person. With these stated requirements, hours are flexible and will include working sometimes with other caregivers to assist with activities of daily living (ADL's), administering medication and in the preparation and serving of meals. We believe working closely as team will ensure that our mission will be best accomplished.

Provide care for up to 5 elderly residents.
Must possess a warm, friendly and nurturing personality
Strong organizational skills
Ambition to work with others and be a team player
21 years or older to comply with Clackamas County's policies for providing adult resident care
At least 6 month of providing care to seniors including knowledge of helping them with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
Give and receive clear written and oral communication in English to interact effectively with staff, residents and their families and healthcare providers
One personal reference and two professional references
Competetive wages

Completed the Adult Home Basic Training Class and passed the State exam is plus but not required
Certified Nurses Assistant Certification is plus but not required
Have current CPR and First Aid certification

Provide a warm, friendly and nurturing, home environment to residents that will allow them to thrive and maintain as much independence as possible.
Interact with professionalism and compassion to residents and their guests (family members and healthcare providers) as well as with employer and other staff members
Follow polices provided by the employer
Follow established routines of each resident
Maintain the confidentiality of residents records
Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, oral care, skin care, dressing/undressing, help to the bathroom or to use commode, bedpan, or urinal
Provide individualized care that reflects an understanding of the developmental needs of each resident such as cognitive assistance
Assist with resident transfers, activities and ambulation
Prepare, cook and provide nutritious meals (menus with recipes are provided)
Assist with prescribed exercises per instruction
Assist our on-site activity therapists
Clean house, change linens, and do laundry
Perform additional duties as assigned

Flexible hours, 15 hours a week; more or less depending on occupancy levels in the home.
