What
The Wrigley Field Road Tour is a 100-mile bike ride where riders will get the chance to shower and watch a game at the end of the ride before being bused back to Chicago at the end of the evening. The rider benefits World Bicycle Relief and the Chicago Cubs Charities.

When
The date for the ride is September 11, 2010. The ride will start at Wrigley Field at 8:00am. There are six rest stops along the way plus the start and finish area so a total of eight areas need to have volunteers to assist with the ride. Each area has different hours of operation and different manpower needs.

Where
The areas, times and tasks that we need volunteers for are as follows:

Wrigley Field (start) 6:00am-9:00am
Set up, registration support, crowd control, porter for bags and bikes, serve refreshments, clean up, and tear down

Rest Stop # 1 at mile 11 Higher Gear Plaza del Lago, Wilmette, IL 8:00am-10:30am
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments, clean up, tear down

Rest Stop # 2 at mile 21 Higher Gear Highland Park, IL 8:30am-11:30am
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments, clean up, tear down

Rest Stop # 3 at mile 37 Boden Park, Waukegan, IL 9:15am-1:00pm
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments, clean up, tear down

Rest Stop #4 at mile 53 (lunch stop) Next to Pennoyer Park in Kenosha, WI 10:00am-2:30pm
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments and lunch meal, clean up, tear down

Rest Stop #5 at mile 69 Wind Point Greens in Wind Point, WI 11:00am-4:30pm
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments, clean up, tear down

Rest Stop #6 at mile 85 Grant Park Beach in South Milwaukee, WI 11:30am-6:00pm
Set up, serve and prepare refreshments, clean up, tear down

Miller Park (end) at mile 100 Milwaukee, WI 12:30pm-7:00pm
Set up, registration support, crowd control, porter for bags and bikes, serve refreshments, clean up, and tear down

Benefits
Volunteers will receive a Wrigley Field Road Tour tee-shirt and can enjoy the same refreshments that the riders will receive. Volunteer service hours can be earned as well. For more information and to sign up, please email Dianne.
