Our goal at Applause Animal Rescue is to provide all our pets with the necessary medical treatment, alongside training, education, and care, to allow for the best possible opportunity of being placed into a new permanent home with a responsible loving, caring and nurturing family. We are always looking for bright energetic individuals who love the feeling you receive from giving back to your local community. Below are some descriptions of what may be involved in either Fostering a pet or just Volunteering to work one of our adoption events.

We are always looking for foster homes for our rescues. For every pet we take there are dozens waiting to come into our rescue. If you can foster even one, it will make all the difference to that pet. We usually have an assortment of pets to choose from and a typical foster lasts from 4-12 weeks. We also need fosters for mothers while they are nursing the litter. You would be taking care of them for 8-12 weeks until they are ready to alter and adopt out. As a foster parent you would be responsible for the dog’s daily care in your home. You would also be responsible for pickup and drop off of your foster for adoptions. We are responsible for the veterinary care of the pet. If at any time a foster dog is not working out, they are of course welcome back.

Volunteers Needed
Perhaps being a Foster parent is a little more than you can do at this time, but you still would love to help our little friends find that new loving permanent home. If you are at least 18 years old, you can volunteer to work one of our many adoption events. Most of our adoption events take place weekends, between 10:00am - 2:00pm, while we do have some events during the weekdays.

If one of these sounds like something you would enjoy trying, give us a call at 562.428.7524 or email us and be sure to include: Your Name, Your City and a phone number where we can reach you, your availability schedule, and what type of pets you like to work with, such as cats, dogs, birds, etc. Our Volunteer Coordinators will get back with you once we have had time to review your information. And be sure to check us out on the web.
