Our Client, an industry leader in the video gaming industry, has enlisted Campaigners, a division of Advantage Sales & Marketing LLC (ASM) to handpick a team of SALES-focused Video Game Specialists to drive measurable sales growth of its consoles, video games and peripherals at select retail locations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, committed and driven to succeed. This person should also have strong communication skills with the confidence to influence key decision makers at the store level. They must possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision. Job Responsibilities / Requirements: • Sales: Enthusiastically engage, qualify and close customers on sales of clients products; Seek sales opportunities in departments throughout the store to maximize sales and sales of related attachments. • Merchandising: Ensure products are on display, functioning properly and presentable to customers. Take direction regarding tagging, rotating, and placing POS materials (provided). • Training: Responsible to train Retail Sales Associates on clients’ products and product benefits during slow consumer traffic. Generate positive PR and Brand Awareness in-store. Ensure clients’ products are “Top of Mind” among Store Associates. Increase Sales Associate recommendation rates of clients’ product. • Personal Development / Training: Must be willing to commit to initial training via on-line and conference call (specific date still TBD) as well as ongoing monthly product training, team meetings, client trainings, etc… (paid) as a requirement. • Relationship Building: Must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with Campaigners management team, Retail Sales Associates, Retail Management Team and Customers. • Administration/Reporting: Must complete accurate and timely HR paperwork and reports online; call reports, expense reports (if applicable), training certification quizzes, etc... Participate in mandatory on-line training and conference calls (paid). • Must be available: Every Friday (including Black Friday, times may change) evenings, Saturday and Sunday from September 11, 2010 thru January 16, 2011, and Monday-Thursday, December 20th – 24th (week of Christmas) and December 27th – 31st (week after Christmas).
Incentive Earning Opportunity: In addition to the hourly rate offered, we believe in rewarding results and outstanding execution. An aggressive sales incentive plan is in place to motivate and reward top performers. Incentive opportunities earned based on sales per store/per hour if the Sales Specialist has met minimum criteria of reporting and communications timelines, positive QA results, quality call reporting and photo submissions. Incentive opportunities include both monetary and products throughout the duration of the program.
Behavioral Requirements: • Active interest in gaming, keeping up with gaming news and developments. • Passion for technology – especially video game/home entertainment products. • Articulate - able to verbally express the product capabilities in simple terms. • Demo and in-store training experience - comfortable demonstrating the product through hands-on use. • Persuasive – able to influence the buying decision. • Professional – exhibits a clean, neat, professional image. • Customer-service oriented – enjoys being helpful to others. • Sales background with minimum of 1 year direct sales experience. Focus on sales results and qualifying customers. • Retail expertise either directly with a retailer or with a Field Marketing agency. • Positive attitude & experience turning a “maybe” into a “yes”. • Proactive communication style and ability to be responsive to last minute requests. • Results and action oriented – ownership minded • Timely Communications Required. It is mandatory that responses to management phone calls or emails are returned within 24 hours • Independent, self –motivated, and organized, while remaining flexible and adaptable
Technical Requirements: • Owner of at least one “Next-Gen” Console (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii). • Familiarity with the current handheld consoles (DSi, Sony PSP, iPhone). • Familiarity with Blu-Ray and understanding the advantages over standard DVD. • While not necessarily playing every kind of game, having an innate understanding of what most people are currently playing/new releases and knowing when that changes. • Must be sufficiently skilled at using the internet and other computer programs/systems necessary to complete administrative tasks. • Must have a cell phone and access to a computer. • Reliable access to transportation as needed to travel to/from stores, events, meetings etc. • Access to a digital camera is highly desirable
Physical Requirement: • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without limitations and ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time (subject to authorized breaks and meal periods) • Must be capable of bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting and squatting for up to 8 hours during your shift
Dress Code: • Name tag and branded Polo shirt provided • Khaki or black solid pants (must be professional: no cargo or denim pants), Docker’s style is approved • Closed toed sturdy shoes (no open toed, sandals, high heels, or sneakers)
Candidates must possess the following: High school diploma or G.E.D. (or equivalent experience), 18 years of age, valid social security number (for payroll and tax purposes), proof of legal authority to work in the United States, ability to satisfy drug-screen and background check subject to applicable law and a willingness to travel (this position may require traveling to specific sites). Some positions offer travel reimbursement, specifics would be discussed later in the interview process.
