Hello! My name is Max! Iím a male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. I am very loving and calm, 5 years old, 40 lbs, and housebroken. I was adopted at 14-month and raised by one parent, and have been loved a lot. I know basic commands, but I still want to learn more stuff. I am healthy, my owner has made sure I have seen the vet regularly, and has taken very good care of me (I have records to prove it!). I need a yard to run around in, or someone who will take me for walks a lot. I don't like to be alone; I like to be around people where the action is. If you give me a home, you and I will become fast friends! You will probably notice I spend A LOT of time following you around and hanging out with you Ďcause I am a people-person, not a lone wolf. I will probably want you to play in the yard with me, too--catch and things of that nature. I really don't like to be left alone for long periods of time. It's something I need to work on, but I have some anxiety issues. It probably has something to do with how close I am to my owner, but we can work on that together if you like. I also like other dogs; I am very social, and like I said, a pretty mellow guy. I am not looking for a re-homing fee or any compensation, but what would be a good idea is if we met at the vet, and I can get a check-up so you can see I am a healthy guy and I can see that you care enough to show up and pick up the tab on a check-up. I will probably want to visit your home first, too, just to make sure youíre not going to hurt me, or do anything sketchy to me. Again, I am just looking for a home and someone who will love me as much as I will love them. I have to leave my home right now because my owner had to move out and the new place already has dogs and there isn't room for me. There are a lot of dogs that need homes, I know this, but if I don't find a home soon I have to go to a shelter. I really don't want that. The advantage of me finding a home now is that you have a history on me, all my vet records, and you know what youíre getting. I come from a really good home and I have manners and stuff. You never know what youíre getting at a shelter. No knocking those guys, but it's just the way it is. Having to find a new place is huge disappointment, but I am sure if you gave me a good home and loved me, I would forget all about that. Thanks a bunch! You may call my person at 303.619.3495.
