Are you having a event and need a professional, dependable host/emcee.............A God-fearing young man, Jamal works with KISS 103.1 FM in Columbia,SC! Jamal recalls it “a blessing in so many ways believe it or not”. Starting as a radio station intern, Jamal credits his success in the biz to God blessing him to be in the right place at the right time. Jamal is the co-host of “REJOICE”, Columbia’s most listened-to Sunday morning gospel show on KISS 103.1 FM. Jamal is best known for his uplifting, dynamic and energetic style; capturing listeners all over Columbia, and now across the Internet. “The Chosen One” is a 2009 RADIO ANNOUNCER OF THE YEAR AWARD nominee from the Rhythm of Gospel Awards. He also had the privilege of being the voice for their 2009 award show commercials. He recently co-starred in the hit inspirational stage play, "Yesterday is Still Gone" as "David" and received RAVE reviews. Not only did this display his acting skills, Jamal may have found his new love!!! Jamal has had the privilege of sharing the stage and introducing some of gospel music’s BIGGEST artists, including but not limited to the legendary Caravans, Natalie Wilson, Byron Cage, Smokie Norful, Anthony Hamilton, Dewayne Woods, James Bignon, Regina Skeeters, Maurette Brown Clark, Double Portion, The Compound, Eternal Voices, Women of Strength and the list goes on. Jamal was named and awarded “Teen to Watch” by his peers of his home church, Little Zion Baptist Church in 2004. Some of Jamal’s latest projects include the following: WIS TV Weather Net Reporter, serving as emcee for "The Relationship Tour starring Regina Skeeters" and "the EVOLUTION tour", voiceover service. Jamal was also the host of, "Real Records Presents: The Jamal Bates Show", it was a late night biweekly talk show that featured local and national community leaders and musical guests that aired on CW47 for two months.
