JOB TITLE: Food Service Manager
DEPARTMENT: Nutrition Program
REPORTS TO: Director, 30th Street Senior Center/Nutrition Program
Responsible for daily operation of food service, congregate meal sites and delivery of meals and supplies to sites and clients according to all Federal, State and local standards and contract specifications.

Under the supervision of the Director of the Senior Center, in coordination with Food Services Consultant, and following current program policies and procedures, the Food Service Manager is responsible for:
1. Hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, payroll and evaluation all food service, site and driver staff.
2. Cooking as needed to ensure proper meal production by staff.
3. Scheduling and training of all food service and dining room volunteers.
4. With RD Consultant, monitoring food service operation for compliance to all standards, policies and procedures.
5. Assisting with development of menus and standardized recipes.
6. Ordering of all food and non-food supplies for food service operation.
7. Maintaining invoice and inventory records.
8. Conducting ongoing cost analysis, utilizing SF Food Bank when appropriate.
9. Monitoring all food service equipment and delivery vehicles.
10. Participating in staff, manager, agency and community meetings.
11. Additional duties as required/assigned.

1. Formal training in Food Service Management required.
2. Minimum two years institutional food service management required.
3. Quantity Food Preparation required.
4. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
5. Valid California Driverís License & Clean DMV Record.
6. Ability to use Microsoft Office.
7. Experience working with senior citizens preferred.
8. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
