I have one male kitten, black & white, approximately 4 months old. We named him Jack. He is very sweet and affectionate. He loves to play with various toys and can keep himself occupied. He is housebroken and has never had any problems with the litter box. He loves my small dog. He was scared of my sisters large dog, but he got used to her after a few days. We have never observed Jack around other cats, so cannot say what his tolerance is with them, but we imagine it'd be good. He tested negative for heartworm and feline leukemia. He has had almost all of his shots- his last one is rabies and he will get that one at his vet appointment in 2 weeks. At that time, the vet will determine if he is ready to be neutered. I will pay for his neuter at my vet. He was found as a stray in April so we do not know exactly how old he is, but the vet is guessing he is now approximately 4 months old. I thought I could keep Jack forever, but cannot. Adopter gets all the kitty cat supplies that we bought for him.
**You may contact me about adopting Jack ONLY IF you meet the following criteria. This is solely for Jack's safety. I want to ensure that we find a great forever home for him. It is to ensure you are a serious, responsible pet adopter and pet owner who wants to adopt for the purpose of animal companionship for the life of the pet.** + You must be able to keep him forever, but if you can't, just let me know and I'll take him back. Please do not drop him at a shelter. + Pay a very reasonable re-homing fee. This is to ensure that you are a serious, responsible pet adopter. + Live in the OKC metro area. Prior to making a decision about Jack's adoption, I need to meet you in person and preferably in your home. Just for Jack's safety. + It is great if you have prior experience owning pets, especially cats. A vet reference is great. + Please keep him indoors. Also, be aware that an indoor cat's average lifespan is 15-17 years. Cats need regular feeding and water and their litter box needs to be cleaned out and changed regularly. + Send updates and pictures of Jack to me, 1-2 updates per year. This is not meant to be intrusive. It is just to make sure that you did indeed keep him and he's doing well. That's all.
