PAVE is seeking an energetic team player to work in our RTI Program as the RTI Associate. This is a part time position Monday through Friday. It can also require some evening and/or weekend work. This non-exempt position reports to the Associate Director and will work with and support the work of the RTI Coordinator. The successful candidate for the RTI Position is responsible for providing training on the Response to Intervention (RTI) parent toolkit to families of children with and without disabilities and to provide technical assistance (TA) to students attending Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) studying to increase teaching skills or gain teaching credentials as well as school district personnel in districts who are working with families to support their districts’ RTI efforts.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Requires a high degree of computer proficiency
• Working with diverse constituencies
• Flexibility and reliability to multi-task and meet deadlines; strong ability to prioritize
• Ability to work well with families, parents, staff, schools, and other organization personnel to promote Response to Intervention (RTI)
• Knowledge of and interest in editing and design of print and online materials
• WA State driver’s license, car, and insurance (mileage reimbursable)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Supervision and/or management of staff and/or volunteers
• Ability to present in front of large and small groups
• Strong computer skills including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to develop effective training materials, articles and other materials
• Researching, creating and updating web content
• Community relations and/or demonstrated ability to network, collaborate and build partnerships
• Applicants can reside anywhere in the state.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of educational requirements regarding the use of RTI
• Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Early Intervening Services (services for at risk children birth to 5)
• Knowledge of rules and regulations relevant to RTI services
• Applicants who reside in Eastern Washington

Preference will be given to Parents who have children receiving or benefitting from RTI.
