She is 2 yrs old, approximately 40lbs. We've been told she's lab/beagle mix - her being a rescue and all there's just no way to be sure without testing her genes. I can see hound of somesort in her cute little face. She is spayed, she's had all of her shots, she's just been given flea and heartguard treatments. She loves kisses, and if she can sit in your lap she would just be in her own lil doggie heaven! Darby has been on many adventures in her young years and just really needs to find a home where she can be loved FUREVER! Darby was in a huge pack (over 10 dogs) and did not do great, however while I foster her she's with 1-3 dogs at any time and she does pretty well. She is NOT a huge feline friend, but I believe she could learn to live happily with a cat, but will need a strong pack leader to help her with that. She knows many very useful commands Sit, Stay, Wait, Leave it (although leave it does not help with the cat thing HAHA) and Come... She also knows "give me kisses and give me hugs"
There is NO REHOMING FEE - However, if you take Darby you will need to buy Frontline Plus and Heartguard and bring it with you when you pick her up - This is how I will assure her new owners will take care of her. I dont need you to give me a rehoming fee, I feel that would take away from you spending your money on her and I think THAT shows that you will care for her which is what she needs. She is currently eating Purina One and likes it very much. She will come with her kennel, 1 dose of Heartguard, her rabies vaccine and shot records, leash and collar.
Darby is high energy and would do best in a home with school aged children, 1-3 other dogs, probably for her to fit in best a home w/out cats. If you would like to meet Darby I can meet you with her any week day after 5 and any time on Sat or Sun.
