HOURS: Full time. Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30

PAY: Base + uncapped commission
Base depends on level of experience

To work as an employee of a State Farm independent contractor agent assisting the agency to grow in new households through sales of State Farm products and services and in providing quality service to State Farm customers.

o Experience in sales and/or customer service desirable.
o Experience with computer software desirable.
o Knowledge of personal lines insurance products desirable.
o Some insurance knowledge is helpful but not required for individual who is ambitious and willing to learn
o Property and Casualty license not required, but desirable

o Strong listening, oral and written communication skills
o Ability to influence others.
o Ability to create professional business relationships with prospects and policyholders
o Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction.
o Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic: remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal in spite of obstacles and adversity.
o Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior.
o Someone upbeat, talkative, helpful, friendly and projects a good attitude. A pleasant, outgoing personality. A constant Smile
o A preference to work with people and meet new people daily
o Someone mature, reliable, self-sufficient and resourceful.
o The ability to learn and to operate a computer
o Detail oriented
o The ability to organize and prioritize work
o The ability to set and achieve production goals
o Has sense of urgency and enjoys working in fast pace environment.

o First to answer the phones, first to great ALL incoming traffic and last to thank anyone going out the door
o Handle service including address, name, bank, driver assignment, error corrections, car changes, etc.
o Take payments and handle general payment issues
o Set Agent Insurance and Financial Review’s
o Collect Data for Quotes
o Quote lines of business
o Pivot to appointments, auto, fire, mutual funds, 401k rollover, Life and Ask for Referrals
o Meet monthly goals; Turn in weekly tracker / Daily Appt Tracker
o Make Marketing Calls as Assigned by Agent or Specialist
o Handling additional duties that may be assigned
