Dancing in the Streets seeks committed volunteers to help us successfully culminate our Hip Hop Generation Next 2010 series. Participants will have the opportunity to work at "Centrifugal Force": Hip Hop Generations @ Lincoln Center, a historic site-specific performance and cipher. Choreographed by hip hop legends Emilio “Buddha Stretch” Austin Jr and Adesola Osakalumi and modern dance legend Gus Solomons jr, Centrifugal Force features 75 dancers representing four generations of hip hop artists.
We need volunteers to help us in the following areas:
* At Lincoln Center:
o Stage Management: guide performers and audience members during the production, which travels through the grounds of Lincoln Center
o Artists’ Services: sign in artists and handle artists’ green room area, including water and refreshments; ensure that dancers feel comfortable, safe and well taken care of.
o Audience Management: interact with audience members: meet and greet audiences, distribute performance programs, and collect contact information.
* At the After Party Benefit:
o Assistant Stage Managers: assist the Event Manager in order to make the event run smoothly
o Greeters: meet, greet, and sign in guests as they enter the venue
