Intensive Substance Abuse Christian Recovery Facility

We are seeking an enthusiastic House Mother to help our mission of helping women find recovery from substance abuse through the power of Christ. The House Mother reports to the Assistant Program Director and helps to manage the administrative portion of the 12-bed women adult intensive residential recovery program.


The House Mother is responsible for maintaining order in the home. She’s responsible for conducting client supervision, phone coverage, including answering and responding to incoming crisis (for potential clients or messages for Staff), business, informational, and referral calls. The House Mother is a teacher, role model, advocate, and listener while coordinating the clients’ medical, nutritional, mental and emotional services. She must work in conjunction with the staff to organize treatment goals focusing on clients’ medical, social, spiritual, educational and therapeutic needs. The House Mother is responsible for providing primary house coverage by making sure house rules and guidelines are followed. In addition, she is responsible for attending staff meetings, client reviews, supervision trainings, etc. Other responsibilities include meal preparation, housekeeping and minor facility maintenance.

The House Mother will support residents and assist with problem solving, anger management and goal setting.

Responsibility for keeping the house safe, healthy and well ordered:
Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures;
Participate in monthly client reviews, monthly staff meetings, and other agency related meetings as directed by Management.
Perform other duties related to this position, as directed by the Assistant Program Director.

High School Diploma or equivalent (a minimum of three years experience working with women in a residential setting).
