Summary: The Mechanical Engineer 1or 2 position is an entry level to intermediate level position. This position supports diverse projects as required, while developing multiple skill sets with training and practice.
• Uphold the Select Engineering Core Values: Integrity, Honesty, Teamwork, and Quality • Manage projects and associated tasks as assigned by Supervisor • Develop detailed work plans and schedules to complete projects • Work directly with clients and interdisciplinary teams to execute projects • Regularly lead and provide direction to project teams (not including supervisory responsibility) • Provide written project progress reports for clients and management as appropriate • Other duties as requested by Management
Behaviors, Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
• Ability to perform under minimal supervision • Must be able to work within a team to accomplish common and specific goals • Computer skills including, but not limited to MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, and Projects • Ability to design engineering systems and processes as applicable • Ability to interact directly with Clients regarding projects • Ability to make independent, significant decisions on projects • Ability to handle projects requiring expertise in more than one area of engineering and design • Ability to direct a team to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget • Develop as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area • Ability to forecast and identify project needs and performance issues
Experience/Education Requirements: • Bachelors Degree in Engineering • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam • Compress program vessel calculations a strong plus
