Quilts For Kids Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization where volunteer quilters create quilts to comfort children who are hospitalized with life threatening illnesses and children who are abused. When hospitalized, children are not allowed to take their own favorite stuffed animals or comfort toys with them. Our goal is to provide them with a quilt made just for them when they need comfort the most. Currently we provide quilts to U of M's - Mott's Children's Hospital and the Monroe County Child Advocacy Center.
The Dundee Chapter of Quilts For Kids needs your help. We are looking for people that are willing to sew simple patterned quilts. No previous quilting experience is necessary. For guidelines on sewing quilts for kids from your own fabric stash, please send a message below.
We are also looking for donations of brightly colored, 100% cotton fabric. All fabrics used in the quilts that are distributed must be new. We will not use repurposed fabric (i.e.: used sheets, pajamas, clothing, etc). Monetary donations, gift cards, etc will also be accepted. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. For contact details and further information, please send a message in the box below.
