BS Mechanical Engineering. 5-10 Years of reliability experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
Knowledge of rotating equipment and machinery
Use of precision measurement tools and assembly techniques
Understanding of Chemistry and Physics
Understanding of welding principles
Equipment vibration and equipment alignment experience
Working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design and regulatory requirements and PSM Mechanical Integrity
Experience in the use of reliability and statistical analysis for predicting equipment life, safety, risk and cost of ownership
Ability to analyse and interpret data and draw well reasoned conclusions.
Work with R&D staff to select /design /develop mechanical equipment fit for purpose.
Responsible for safety performance by active participation and safety leadership in solving issues, safety and housekeeping programs
Provide technical guidance to improve reliability
Develop and execute initiatives to accomplish unit/plant goals.
Conduct root cause analysis for top reliability issues
Design solutions to address root causes of unreliability
Champion solutions and lead implementation
Provide technical assistance for the procurement of capital equipment, Ensure that equipment meets appropriate regulations and best practices.
Interface with internal/external customers and suppliers in the procurement of equipment/process improvement materials
Utilize equipment reliability data to evaluate spare part levels
Provide leadership and guidance for vibration monitoring, including data analysis
