The Center for Cultural Interchange invites you and your family to host a high school exchange student. Now more than ever, your family can make a difference by hosting an exchange student; making the lifelong dream of an international student come true, and yes, contributing in a small, but significant way, to global peace and understanding.
Just imagine sharing the beauty, history and culture of America with a young foreign exchange student from Russia, Vietnam, Brazil, Germany, Korea, Spain, or one of 30 other countries, developing lifelong friendships between your two families. Picture seeing the United States through the youthful eyes of an inquisitive teen, and rediscovering the simple things that we often take for granted…a baseball or football game, a community picnic, even window-shopping at the mall!
With volunteer host families in every state, CCI can provide these young ambassadors a wide range of landscapes, climates, activities and lifestyles. CCI host families represent the diversity of American culture from varied economic, religious and racial backgrounds, including couples without children, singles and single parents, and empty-nesters.
Students waiting host families include Paulina from Germany. Paulina enjoys playing tennis, dancing, photography, and is a member of the choir. Paulina has also studied French for four years and Spanish for two years. She likes to travel and has been to almost every country in Europe and is interested in learning more about other countries and cultures. She is looking forward to learning more about the American culture and lifestyle, making friends and spending time with her host family. Many students like Paulina from all over the world are awaiting host family placement in the United States before the end of August.
